Nokia N79: Entertainment Powerhouse in an Ugly front design

Other newly announced device along the N85 is the N79, believed to be the upgrade of the not-so-old N78, The N79 supports a 5 Megapixel camera with dual LED Flash which is an upgrade of the 3.2 Megapixel one found in the N78, but other than that, nothing has changed a lot, except the design.
Other specs include GPS chip, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a smallish 2.4” screen with no OLED, the key lock introduced in the N81, a 3.5mm audio output jack, 3.5G HSDPA and though this phone was announced coincidently with the N85, it doesn’t support USB charging through the MicroUSB port “wouldn’t it be great if every Nokia design team get together and try to implement minor changes on each phone like the USB charging, because it’s weird not to see that implemented in the N79”.
Personally, I think this phone is hideous, well at least the front of it, it has the looks of a phone that has been aging along a whisky bottle in a Scottish seller, and the Nokia logo on the right is just a poor way to bring the life back to the design, but it made it look worse, the back looks similar to the one found in the N78, but this time it sports easy exchange Xpress On covers with automatically changeable themes according to the colour of the cover installed, but according to what I have heard, it’s not that easy to install/remove the back covers.
On the bright side, Battery life on this one is sky high with standby time up to 372 hours, this is due to the gigantic BL-6F 1200 mAH battery on board.
The N79 is expected to start shipping in October 08 at an expected priced of 350€ before taxes and subsidies, 100 Euros cheaper than the N85.
Update: Seems that I forgot to mention that this one comes with a 4GB MicroSD Card and a game voucher for N-Gage.
